The Book I "MACRO"

I did a book for family and friends this holiday.
The picture above is the dust warp.
Great contributions from Chris Crumley (mentor and gear "suggestor" - new word) and Tina MacFarlane (editing)!
Got a bit carried away with 284 pages... But what the heck!

Intro...

"Finding the camera helped me find a way to express what I feel. The detail and beauty of “close-up” or macro photography define my love of detail, nature and color. For me, macro photography is easier than the more traditional photography of people, things, animals, etc. As I photographed more, I realized I was drawn to the color and patterns of images that were shot in close proximity to the subject."

Risbecia Chromodorididae, Nudibranch

In Truk Lagoon, Micronesia I found this nudibranch mating.
Nudibranchs are hermaphroditic (both male and female organs), functioning
first as a male while the female organs mature. Some advance
members have three sexual ducts; One for outgoing sperm, one for outgoing eggs,
and one for incoming sperm.

Many colors and shapes (click HERE for more pictures).

Long Creek Fog

In the early morning just before the sun came up a heavy fog bank
moved in on the Lynnhaven area of Virginia Beach.
The street, traffic signal and waterway lights had a very eerie
look. All one needed was Jack the Ripper to complete the scene.

The green light on top of the bridge (top right) came from the traffic light.
I have a green, red and yellow version of this picture.
